LAHORE: A 79-member delegation of Hindu pilgrims, led by Youdister Lal, on Tuesday arrived in the provincial capital through Wagha Border to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shiv Avtari Satguru Sant Shadaram Saheb.
They were greeted on their arrival by Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Additional Secretary Khalid Ali. The Hindu pilgrims would visit Shadani Darbar in Mirpur (Sindh) via special train to perform their religious rites.
The pilgrims highly appreciated the arrangements made by the government for protection of sacred Hindu places in Pakistan. “We are satisfied with the arrangements made for us and feel no security threat as such,” a pilgrims said, while expressing his joy to be in Pakistan.
The pilgrims would return to India on December 3.
