LAHORE – On Panama Leaks matter the incumbent government and opposition party on Friday sought help from the Supreme Court Bar.
On the direction of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Minister for Law Zahid Hamid and Attorney General of Pakistan Ashtar Ausaf telephoned the Supreme Court Bar president and appealed him to sort out names of the former judges regarding formation of judicial commission to probe Panama leaks.
On other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shah Mehmood Qureshi leader also contacted with Supreme Court Bar president Ali Zafar. According to sources, the SC Bar president has agreed to help the government regarding his recommendations for proposed commission.
The sources said that the SC Bar president will meet Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Zahid Hamid and Ashtar Ausaf at Supreme Court Bar office separately. On the other side, Senator Saleem Mandi Wala has also contacted with Ali Zafar and asked him to present his recommendations on Panama Leaks before the Senate Committee on Finance.
