ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will commence the Panama Leaks’ hearing on Wednesday.
According to ECP, the references are filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Awami National Party (ANP) and AML against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PTI Chairman Imran Khan, PTI leader Jehangir Tareen and Captain (r) Muhammad Safdar.
A five member bench of ECP including the chief election commissioner would conduct the hearing of the references. Similarly, references filed against Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen by PML-N’s leaders Talal Chaudhry, Muhammad Khan Daha, Malik Khalil Ahmed, Bilal Mustafa Bhutta, Chaudhry Shahnawaz Dhalon and others would also be heard.
The cause list further added that Bushara Gohar, leader of ANP has filed reference against PTI’s Senator Liaqat Khan Tarkai while Nawabzada Salahuddin leader of PTI has also filed the reference against Captain (r) Muhammad Safdar for concealed assets in offshore companies would also be hearing by the five member of the ECP.
