KARACHI – Social media campaigner and Karachi-based activist “Fix It” campaign Alamgir Khan was released on bail – a day after – was arrested for attempting to dump garbage outside Sindh Chief Minister House.
Police produced handcuffed Khan, wearing a green shirt saying “MAD For Pakistan”, before Judicial Magistrate South in the city court where his supporters showered rose petals on him chanting slogans in his favour.
In the brief hearing, police investigator sought remand of the accused, saying that an FIR has been registered against him for entering Red Zone. Alamgir’s counsel opposed it, and argued that offense of his client is bailable, therefore the campaigner should be released.

Later the judge granted bail to Khan for Rs.5,000 surety bonds. Yesterday, Khan drove a tractor loaded with waste to dump the garbage outside Sindh Assembly building and he got into a scuffle with the police outside the Sindh Chief Minister House in Karachi.
