GHALLANAI: One person was killed and two others sustained injuries in an explosion in Safi tehsil of Mohmand Agency early Tuesday.
According to details, the Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) exploded in Masood Ziarat area of Safi tehsil, targeting security guards performing night duty in the mountainous region.
The explosion resulted on-spot death of one Amjad while Siraj and Ibrahim sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to a local hospital for treatment.
A security search was conducted in the area after the blast. Security forces found and safely detonated another IED that was planted on the roadside. Investigation of the incident has been initiated by the political administration.
